PRAIRIE LANE CAVAPOOCHON PUPPIES
Bettering the breed
We are a passionate, in-home Cavapoochon breeder with a deep love for animals. We breed for exceptional quality and ensure we always maintain the highest possible standards.
Why the Cavapoochon? After owning one ourselves we simply fell in love with their charming characteristics.
The Cavapoochon is a triple-cross breed of three purebred dogs: the Cavalier King Charles, Bichon Frise and the Toy Poodle. By cross-breeding you get an adorable miniature dog that looks like a forever puppy and combines all the best characteristics of each breed. Furthermore, the common health issues of each individual breed are breed out of the resulting puppy. These lovely dogs live up to 12-15 years on average but can live up to 18 years. They are also hypoallergenic, love snuggles and have a gentle but playful nature to them.
ABOUT PRAIRIE LANE PUPPIES
Our Story
Prairie Lane Puppies is an in-home based Dog Breeder located in the beautiful prairies of North Dakota. We have such a soft spot for dogs and puppies. A few years ago we were searching for the perfect family dog. that loved to snuggle, was great with kids, non-shedding, and hypoallergenic. dog with just an overall amazing personality. We found that all in the Cavapoochon breed.
After purchasing our very own Cavapoochon and simply falling in love with her we came to realized that we wanted to share this breed with others and raise our very own Cavapoochon puppies! We know that many families can benefit from owning a Cavapoochon.
Their Care
As in home breeders, our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our animals from birth until they leave with their forever family - and beyond. We give all our animals lots of love and attention. They all live within our home. We have a special room for when litters are born and we keep a close eye on all of the puppies after birth. The puppies are birthed in a special whelping kennel to keep them and mama safe. We clean their area 2-3 times daily and always provide fresh water and food for mama and puppies once they start eating dog food.
They Love Kids
What's more, we have two younger children 7 & 9 years old that hold and play with the puppies so they are very used to kids when they leave for their new home.
They Need Attention
One of the best characteristics of the Cavapoochon is that they love to be loved. This is also very important to note because they are not a breed that should be left home all day. Once they are 4 months and older I don't recommend leaving them alone for more than 4 hours most days and 6 hours at the most on more rare occasions. This breed is for those that are home more or has other dog(s).
Their Diet
Here at Prairie Lane Puppies, we feed our parents a good quality dog food with a mix of real wild animal meats that include organs and other animal parts that we get from https://rawdogfoodandco.com
We also give our dogs quality probiotics, supplements of dried organ meats, berries, colostrum powder and gut balancing mushrooms from https://fourleafrover.com/
All of our dogs are fed a quality dog food along with natural supplements and some cooked grass-fed beef and wild game with organ parts.
Their Coat
Cavapoochons are known for their super soft hypoallergenic and non-shedding coat. This is all the result of cross breeding the three breeds (Cavalier, Bichon, and Toy Poodle). Most of our puppies will have the nice brown color to them with white markings. This is due to the coloring of mom and dad (seen below). Our puppies can either have curly hair or wavy hair, and sometimes we may get a lighter tan colored pup.
Caring For Your Puppy
Bringing your puppy home is such an exciting time! There are a few things to know about your new puppy. First, all puppies are still very little and will need to be watched carefully around little children and should not be left alone in any dangerous areas. This includes: high areas they could fall from, areas where they could get into something poisonous, or areas where they may knock something heavy onto themselves.
New puppies also sleep a lot. They should be allowed to get all the sleep needed and should not be awakened to just simply play with, for example. They are growing and need their rest to keep them healthy.
Another thing to consider is there are some foods that are very poisonous to dogs and should not be ingested by them. These include but aren't the only foods: chocolate, raisins, grapes, cherries, and artificial sweeteners. Always look up all the foods that are toxic to your pup.
